Our Mission

The following by-laws from the CCM constitution describe our mission:

Article I-1
This organization is organized for charitable and educational services within the meaning of Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
Article I-2
To promote the spirit of unity and collaboration among all Hispanics.
Article I-3
To foster greater appreciation and awareness of the rich heritage and history of Mexican and other Hispanic cultures
Article I-4
To enhance the educational and socio-economic well being of Mexican and other Hispanics.
Article I-5
To inform its members of their rights and responsibilities under federal, state, and local laws of the United States of America as citizens and non-citizens
Article I-6
To provide a model community center where educational, cultural, social, and athletic activities can be held and where community services and other resources can be centrally provided
Article I-7
To offer English and Spanish language classes, as well as programs, films and other activities devoted to cultural and artistic enrichment
Article I-8
To commemorate major events in the History of the United States of America and Mexico, thus preserving and paying tribute to their rich heritage
Article I-9
Centro Civico Mexicano shall work closely and in collaboration with the Mexican and other Hispanic consuls as well as other ethnic and cultural organizations in Utah to promote the interests conducive to the overall improvement of the Hispanic and total community.
Article I-10
Centro Civico Mexicano shall organize conferences and events to share practical knowledge that can be of interest and use to the community.
